Wilco rose from the ashes of alt-country cult band Uncle Tupelo, quickly abandoned the twang in favor of lush, experimental indie rock and went on to a successful 20-year career.

On this week's Dad Rock, Patrick Foster and Jim Lenahan are joined by USA TODAY social media editor Mary Nahorniak, a Wilco fanatic, to review the band's work.

Dad Rock is available on iTunes, SoundCloud, Stitcher and TuneIn. New episodes post on Fridays.
