He's spent years photographing gold mines, oil fields and genocide, following the world's poor and forgotten people and more recently the planet's last undamaged places. The Brazilian photographer Sebastião Salgado, who's lived much of his life in Paris, is being given a place in France's prestigious institution for renowned artists - the academy of fine arts. FRANCE 24's culture editor Eve Jackson sat down with one of the most important living photographers.
