Davina has been called the “hardest working blues woman in frigid Minnesota,” and you could expand that are without question.
Davina will take her seat on The Couch to discuss her career and band as we chack out tunes from their latest, Black Cloud.
Sugar Blue has been blowing his harp since 1975 when he made his first recordings with legendary blues figures Brownie McGhee and Roosevelt Sykes.
His latest album, Raw Sugar, is a live recording of Sugar and his band and it shows off the high energy Sugar brings to every performance.
It is not for nothing Tas Cru has been called "the master of the triple entendre."  His songs are blues poetry - telltale life lessons crafted with rare verbal flair and delivered with a power and passion the heights of which only the seasoned concert entertainer can reach.
His discography contains five albums plus 2009's recording, "Even Bugs Sing the Blues", an album of original blues music for kids.
The latest is entitled Tired of Bluesmen Cryin, which proves once again the skills of this fine performer.
Tas will join me to talk about his life and music as we check out tunes from the new album.
First Monday of the Month, which means Chefjimi will join us with his Blues411 Report.
