SHOW # 319

We actually begins the show with a visit from Sonia Outlaw-Clark will join me to talk about this year’s Exit 56 Blues Festival, which is held in Brownsville, TN on Memorial Day weekend.

Then I speak with Dennis Jones.  Dennis was a part of the Zac Harmon Band that won the 2004 International Blues Challenge.  Since then he has been a fixture on the West Coast Blues Scene, has been a judge for the IBC and a presenter at the BMAs.  His new album is entitled Both Sides Of The Track, and we will talk with Dennis about his life and career while we listen to tunes from the album.

Then Joyann Parker & Sweet Tea will join me.  Out of Minnesota, the band represented the MN Blues Society at the 2016 IBC.  We’ll talk about their lives and experiences at IBC and their new release, On The Rocks.

Benny Turner returns for Couch Kid New Music to talk about When She’s Gone the follow-up to his acclaimed album Journey.  We’ll find out what has been going on in Benny’s life.

Kelly Richey also returns for Couch Kid New Music.  Kelly is one of the original Couch Kids, first taking a seat way back in 2010.  Her newest release is Shakedown Soul and Kelly and I will chat about what has been going on since her last visit just about a year ago when she released two of these songs and we got to World Premier them
