Andy Tanas began as a sound tech for bands such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker and more before being convinced to let his bass do the talking.  He became the bass player ad songwriter for Black Oak Arkansas until they disbanded in 1980.  Since, Andy has continued to play and has released Songs From The New South, an album that features Cody Dickinson and others and took Andy 4 years to complete.  We will talk about his career and listen to SFTNS.
Johnny Rawls learned his trade playing with stars such as ZZ Hill, Johnny Taylor and OV Wright before going out on his own. He has garnered many honors along the way and this year he has been nominated for Soul Blues Album Of The Year and Soul Blues Male Artist Of The Year.  I will chat with Johnny about his career while we listen to cuts from Soul Survivor.
The Mill Billy Blues Band hail from South Carolina and their earliest influences were "front porch pickers", playing Piedmont style blues, bluegrass, country, and gospel music. Now singer/harmonica player Freddie Vanderford, regional bluesman Shane Pruitt, guitar whiz Brandon Turner, and singer/songwriter Matthew Knights make up Mill Billy Blues. Their debut is something special and we will chat about how they all came together.
Papa Don McMinn is an historical figure in Memphis blues.  The genes do not lie as his son Doug is the drummer for the Reba Russell band, his son Rome is one of the top bass players in the mid-south, his daughter Lorina Rae McMinn has been singing forever and now, Doug's son Michael joins the family business blowing a harp like he has done for 50 years.
All together they are Papa Don McMinn and The Three Generation Blues Band (3GB2) and they are releasing a new album and they are bringing it to the Couch to preview.
