Americana music. Let’s just call it American roots music, combining country, blues, bluegrass, folk, R&B and rock. So, most anything – but I usually like a bit of twang to my music. “Americana” was originally a marketing term for a broad spectrum of musical styles that didn’t fit into the mainstream radio genres; debate still rages as to what kind of music it actually describes. Join me every week, and explore with me this ever-inclusive “genre” – so much good music to play, so little time! I’m your host John Ford, and this is AM Radio, where the “AM” stands for Americana Music. You can find me here, or on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) – just search for “amradiolb”. https://amradiolb.com/

Progkast

A new Progkast episode has just been loaded (or dropped as some like to say ;) )Feb 2021. I hope to get to doing a show every month or two again. As of now, Progkast is no longer available on Spotify due to their intermediary distributor requirement. We are still on iTunes, Google Podcasts, Player FM, Amazon Music, and Stitcher, as well as most other podcast platforms/distributors.
Please consider contributing to keep all of the Progkast shows on Soundcloud. It is only because of the contributions of patrons that all of the shows are still here, and will remain here. Eventually, I'd like to make this a full time thing for me. The Patreon ink is below. Thanks again.
Progkast features independently produced/distributed artists as well as some artists on small record labels. I include all sub-genres of Prog including Lo-Fi, Psychedelic, Symphonic, Metal, Fusion, Medieval, Electronic, and Experimental, amongst others.
Please like and or follow Progkast and Prog Rock Nation (all encompassing Progressive Rock radio show) on facebook to keep tuned in for updates, show times/changes and special announcements. :D Please see links below.
Progkast is hosted, curated, and produced by Julie Sanchez, curator/host/DJ of Prog Rock Nation on KTAL-LP, 101.5 FM Las Cruces, NM, and former Freeform DJ at KUNM, Albuquerque, NM.
Artists, please feel free to send your music for consideration on Progkast and Prog Rock Nation :D
