On this day in 1995 we lost one of the greatest blues rock guitarists of all time, Rory Gallagher. Aged just 47 when he died, Rory left an incredible legacy of music which has seen the likes of Brian May, Slash, Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton publicly hold him in the highest of esteem.
On today's show you'll hear a short clip from my recent interview with Gerry McAvoy, Rory's bass player for more than 2 decades.
