“Yankee Foxtrot Hotel,” the fourth studio recording by Chicago’s Wilco, turned out to be their seminal album. A landmark recording released a week after 9/11, it was marred by conflict within the group, a change in drummers, and the final output before departing from Reprise Records. Yet, it became the band’s most successful and continues to be regarded as one of the best albums of the 2000s. To mark its 20th anniversary and a newly remastered and expanded edition that includes 18 unreleased tracks and an extensive booklet, we celebrate with one of our favorite “Yankee Hotel Foxtrot” songs, “Jesus, Etc.”
