Syndicated telly threw up some low budget gems in the late 1980s, not least a horror TV series, based upon a horror movie series. that had literally nothing in common with its inspiration. Instead, FRIDAY THE 13TH THE SERIES investigated cursed items and weird happenings in and around Canada, long before THE X-FILES.
