The Show About Guitar Tone and The People Behind It
The year was 2015. Show host Blake Wyland intended to start a podcast where he took a deep dive with his guests from the guitar world to explain their rigs. What happened was that, but also a whole lot more. The show quickly evolved into discussions about people's lives. Guitars, pedals, amps, etc. are the central hub of the show, but it really is more about the PEOPLE behind all of it. Both the musicians who use the gear, and the folks that create these magical tools of expression. You can expect chats about songwriting, favorite bands, family, loss, addiction, conspiracy theories, philosophy, and most of all....... food. This podcast goes all over the place. Come take a ride.

The survival continues… with “We're Alive: Descendants”
Listen to the entire epic series, which follows Survivors in Los Angeles after the world has been turned upside down. It begins with “A Story of Survival” which spans from Chapters 1-48. Our survivors band together, fortify a safe haven known as the Tower, and discover that the Infected are far from the biggest threat they will have to face. The adventure continues with two mini-series: “Lockdown” - A small group of inmates and prison guards are trapped in the T-block at Twin Towers Jail. They are forced to work together and find a way to escape while the rest of the world ends around them. “Goldrush” - Set 17 years after the main events of “A Story of Survival”, this is a recollection story that describes the efforts of the four Soldiers as they attempt a side mission to retrieve a suspected stash of gold bullion. Our newest season is “We’re Alive: Descendants”: The story of survival continues; the fight is not over. 18 years after the Outbreak, the world is starting to re-organize and rebuild, but many different forms of humanity are still struggling to survive in the aftermath. Nicholas Tink grew up in the shadow of his father- the late, great, Saul Tink. Little does he know that deep in the places where infected dwell, another descendant lies waiting. Mind the Brain !
Mind the Brain 2010: What do the new brain sciences do (or not) to/for their own disciplinary framework – both from a theoretical and practical standpoint ? How does the question of interdisciplinarity (or call it trans-, co-, etc. disciplinarity) emerge (or not) in relation to their own research or clinical practice ?
Mind the Brain 2011: These days we can observe a tendency towards modulating the psyche through actions on the brain, thereby reshaping identities. Psychotropic drugs are the favoured levers of these actions. Since the 1950s, neuroleptics, antidepressants, anxiolytics and psychostimulants are prescribed, sold and consumed in order to palliate mental suffering or treat mental illness. Does the success of these substances show the effectiveness of the treatment of recurrent and universal disorders or, conversely, does it reflect a specific design of psychological ailments and their treatment methods in contemporary society? In either case, the development of psychotropic drugs highlights the physiological and metabolic dimension of the modulation of the subject, as governed by a "chemical brain". For its fourth edition, the symposium Mind the Brain 2011 combines several perspectives to take a look at this chemical conception of the brain. As in previous editions, the symposium privileges work and reflections focusing on fields of tension or collaboration between basic research, the medical clinic and the human and social sciences.
