Rock Talk With Mitch Lafon is a Podcast hosted by well respected music journalist Mitch Lafon. He's been covering the world of rock and music at large going into his third decade now.
His is first interview goes back to June 9th 1980 with KISS' Gene Simmons who, at the time, was promoting the band's newly released Unmasked album. Mitch was eleven years old at the time. You can hear that interview here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqCIPGaeqv8(Mitch's mom starts off the interview with Gene).
Since then he's interviewed a who's who of rock royalty including members of Metallica, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Scorpions, Judas Priest and many more. He's also displayed his versatility with interviews outside the rock realm including Rick Astley, Boy George, Bananarama and others.
What makes his interviewing style unique is that it combines his vast knowledge of music in general with his many personal friendships with rock's greatest artists. The results are interviews that are part informative, part 'two friends talking', and part music savant. His interviews are widely sourced and referenced by leading rock publications (including Billboard, Rolling Stone, Brazil's Roadie Crew and many others).
