« Ne dites pas que votre fils est autiste, il pourrait le devenir ! » Voilà le genre de réflexion auquel a dû faire face Laurent Savard, humoriste, avant qu’enfin le corps médical ne mette un « nom » sur les troubles comportementaux de son fils, Gabin. Ce sont ces tranches de vie, des joies aux peines, des mots blessants à l’incompréhension face à un handicap, l’autisme, dont on est encore loin d’avoir percé tous les secrets, que dévoile Laurent Savard dans son one-man-show, « le bal des pompiers » qui, depuis dix ans, met le feu aux scènes de l’hexagone. Plus que les planches, Laurent Savard souhaite fouler aux pieds les préjugés, ceux de la différence et sensibiliser des instances gouvernementales qui ferment encore trop souvent les yeux sur ces enfants pour qui les mots « liberté, égalité, fraternité », devises de notre République, ne sont que des chimères, des illusions perdues d’avance. Et si l’humour était une merveilleuse ode à l’espoir ?!
