Water trucks are trucks that transport water in sizes from 500 gallons up to 5,000 gallons or more for a variety of reasons. From working on construction sites to providing assistance during fires or replenishing fountains or ponds, water trucks serve in many capacities.
Construction Water Trucks
Construction water trucks work behind sorting apparatus to keep dirt and dust billowing everywhere. These trucks generally carry around 4,000 to 5,000 liters of water and are dispersed with a gravity system when following behind grade.
fire fighting water trucks
Most fire engines do not carry water, as it is usually available from a municipal water supply or hydrant. In fighting fires in rural areas, fire trucks must carry water or have access to a tanker truck that provides water to the fire pump. Most of these water trucks are owned by private contractors who contract to supply water during heavy firefighting efforts.
Recycled Water Delivery
Some tankers deliver the recycled and disinfected water supplies to construction sites to be used for soil compaction or to cities that use water trucks for street washing or sewer flushing. Other water supply services include replenishing decorative fountains or the irrigation of gardens and ponds.
