Alexandra Ramires alias Xá is a portuguese director. She discovered animation in 2009 in the production company Sardinha em Lata. In 2010, she graduated in painting at the Fine Arts Academy in Lisbon. Then, she started working in the animation studio of the production company Bando à Parte in Porto. Her first film "Água Mole", co-directed with Laura Gonçalves, traveled through festivals such as Cannes and Toronto. She founded the BAP - Animation Studio Cooperative where she currently develops collective and individual work, including her last stunning short "Elo" better known as "Ties".
