La composition du rayonnement cosmique galactique (GCR) en noyaux atomiques plus lourds que le fer a été déterminée par la première fois, grâce au spectromètre isotopique CRIS qui est à bord de la sonde ACE (Advanced Composition Explorer) au point de Lagrange L1 depuis 1997. Les chercheurs ont exploité plus de 20 ans de mesures... L’étude est publiée dans The Astrophysical Journal.
