Quaoar est une planète naine de 555 km de rayon qui navigue au delà de l'orbite de Neptune. Des chercheurs ont découvert que cette planète naine était entourée d'un anneau très mince, grâce à des observations indirectes de l'atténuation d'étoiles d'arrière-plan. Mais cet anneau apparaît trop éloigné de la planète naine par rapport à la théorie... L'étude est parue cette semaine dans Nature.
