Welcome to Episode 1802, where Cynthia Chaplin interviews Italian wine producers during the wine2wine Business Forum 2023 Podcast Marathon. Today she interviews Sofia Ponzini featuring the wine, Etna Rosato 2020

About today’s winery:

Tenute Bosco was born out of Sofia's sheer passion for wines and her desire to communicate the excellence and charm of Sicily around the world, beyond stereotypes. Since 2012, the vision has been dedicated to the mother of this ancient land: Mount Etna. Inspired by its natural beauty and respect for this terroir, the small production achieves a perfect balance between ancient tradition and modern technology, focusing on top-quality indigenous wines of unique character and elegance, truly expressing this terroir.

The organic grapes come from the northern side of the volcano, specifically from the town of Castiglione di Sicilia, in the domains of Piano dei Daini in Solicchiata and Santo Spirito in Passopisciaro, at around 700 to 750 meters above sea level. The wines include four Etna varieties: white, rosé, red, and a limited edition of pre-phylloxera
