Alan fell in love with Italian wine during his PhD Chemistry studies in Melbourne when he discovered an old bottle of Barbaresco wine in a bottle shop. In 2014, he established DECO Wines Limited, a boutique wine importing company with a main focus on Italian wines in Hong Kong. Alan has been climbing up the Vinitaly International Academy ladder since 2020, it was an unforgettable journey from Maestro to Ambassador and to Expert. He is currently the Master of the Knights of Alba (Cavalieri del Tartufo e dei Vini di Alba) Hong Kong Delegation.

Guest Bio - Luca Balbiano

Luca is the third generation owner of Cantine Balbiano. Like his father Francesco, he has the role of the President of Consortium of DOC Freisa di Chieri and Collina Torinese. He is also the founder and honorary president of a worldwide association called Urban Vineyard Association.
