The first radio show of the year is full of musical encounters that transcend genres and defy borders. “Fintou”, the 5th album by French-Togolese afrofunk collective Vaudou Game, is in the spotlight, as well as the collaboration between Belgian dub collective Kosmo Sound and Moroccan gnawa musician Imane Guemssy on the album “Makasima”.

We listen to some samba de côco from NE Brazil, Afro-Colombian roots going global, futuristic tribal sounds from the Indian Ocean, Django Reinhardt on a spliff and ethiojazz stripped down to a flute melody.
