DJ and writer Dave Haslam was a resident of the legendary Hacienda club in Manchester in the late 1980s and has since mixed worldwide. Also a journalist for "NME", "Inrocks" and "The Guardian", he interviewed artists and musicians such as David Byrne, Nile Rogers and Jarvis Cocker and has also written three books on music and culture. 
Cerrone whose early years, ranging from his first album in 1976 until his seventh, in the mid 1980s, are supported by exemplary creativity and vision with virtually no compromise. He does not hesitate to compose, against the advice of everyone, long tracks, pieces of pure disco trance, which are not made for radio at that time, but that work incredibly well, because they capture something of the hedonism of the moment - while exceeding also the story of the moment. For example, "Love In C Minor" and "Supernature" are now impassable classics, consistently ranked among the most important pieces of music, be it pop or disco or dance... (In English)
