My friend and local caricature artist Vince Ornato was pointing out to me that the most influential bands seem to be British.

Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, The Rolling Stones and even The Beatles... all British. These bands and several others were WIDLY influential and defined the next three decades of music.
