Buying an album was an experience. You anticipated the next visit to the record store and couldn't wait to buy a new record. It was a physical experience. Holding the album, reading the liner notes, and above all studying the album art. The artwork or album cover connected you to the experience. "The Album" is a documentary about the evolution of the record industry told from the perspective from art directors and photographers. Director Kevin Hosman joins The Hook Rocks for an interesting discussion on how the art meant just as much as the music. Please enjoy the episode!
