In 2016, Amany "Cash Money" Ishaq ran the race of her life and finished the Louisiana Marathon as the first-place, female finisher with a time just short of 3 hours and 8 minutes. But, before she achieved what many runners can only dream of, the Universe shook the foundation of Amany's life and lobbed one tragedy after another her way. In one of many illustrations of her phenomenal character and resolve, she is able to look deeper than the negativity of those tragedies and recognize that they gave rise to her truest adventure in running.
