THERE’S A LIGHT was founded in 2011 as a studio project of David Christmann (guitars) and Jonas Obermüller (keyboards). 

Andreas Richau, has joined the band for their first EP Khartoum in 2012.

Then came in 2013 Jan Lüftner (drums) and Markus Dold (guitars).
