Il ajoutait qu’elle « est plus puissante que l’arme la plus destructrice inventée par l’homme »  Gandhi (1990), Tous les hommes sont frères, Paris, Gallimard,…. La non-violence doit être comprise, dans son premier sens, comme un ensemble de principes éthiques, une conception religieuse du monde et une pensée politique.
